Commitments just continue to roll in for the UCA Bears, and Clint Conque’s staff picked up a big one tonight, literally.

Owasso, OK. offensive tackle Lance Kloker gave the Bears his verbal commitment Thursday night. Kloker is 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, and was named All-Metro, All-Conference, and All-State his senior year.

“UCA just has a great program and a great staff,” said Kloker. “They are a program that is going nowhere but up, and I wanted to be a part of it, so I committed tonight.”

Kloker held offers from Pittsburgh State, Western Missouri State, North West Missouri, and was receiving strong interest from Ohio.

“I’ve been to UCA’s campus a few times, and just loved it,” he said. “I camped there over the summer then I was there for the game against McNeese State. I can remember walking around the campus thinking about how beautiful it was, and wondering how I had never heard of UCA. It is one of the best kept secrets out there when it comes to how nice of a college it is.”

“The striped field is awesome too,” he said. “You have to fear those stripes. They are undefeated on that field, and that’s just awesome.”

Kloker said he was recruited by offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Brooks Hollingsworth.

“Coach Hollingsworth is just a great guy and a great coach,” said Kloker. “He made sure that I knew that he believes in me. He offered me back in July and did a great job of recruiting me. Coach Conque is a great guy also. I love how they have a family atmosphere within their program too.”

He is also hoping to contribute as soon as he gets on campus.

“I’m working out hard,” said Kloker. “I want to be an instant contributor and be worth something as soon as I walk onto the campus in June.”
